***** BOOK REVIEW *****

Rockaway Bride
By: Pippa Grant

I have read all the other books in this series and I have to say that this one is definitely my favourite. We meet Willow Honeycutt, she’s a preschool teacher and the step daughter of the King of Stölland. The story starts off with the anticipation Wedding of Willow and Martin. We get to catch up with our friends from other books in this series, the Berger twins and Manning. The Wedding is schedule to take place the next day, but Rockstar Dax Gallagher, who believes that Martin has stolen all his money decides the only way he can get it back is to kidnap Willow and hold here hostage. But Willow turns the tables on him and it’s her who’s holding him hostage. The book had me laughing out loud at some of the things these two got up to. The sexual tension between Willow and Dax literally burns off the pages. This was a great read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.

Shameless King – Kings of Rittenhouse #1
By:- Maya Hughes
Released: June 28, 2018

I have read several books by Maya Hughes and enjoyed them all and Shameless King certainly didn’t disappoint. We meet Declan McAcoy, he’s hot, he’s sexy, he’s an Ice Hockey hero, he’s the highest goal scorer in Kings of Rittenhouse Prep history and he was voted the Biggest Flirt, every girl wants him, everyone is impressed with him – well not everyone one. We also meet Makenna Halstead her and Declan have never been friends, infact they had a big fight in high school and if they never saw each other ever again it would be too soon. Makenna has had a bit of a tough life and after spending some time away at home from school, where she’s studying to be a doctor, she returns home and to the school closer. Things don’t go well, Declan has to take a special class and is not allowed to train with the hockey team until his grades improve and as Makenna has transferred back to this school she’s also forced to take the same class and Declan. What makes it even worse is they are team together as study partners and have to complete their work together. Now this is where the story gets real interesting. These two hate the sight of each other, or do they???? Declan is known as the King on the Ice, whereas Mackenna is known as the Ice Queen. Can the King thoar the Ice Queen??? Can the Ice Queen bring the King back to reality??? Spark literally fly off the pages when these two spend time together. This book was a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Anything for Love

Anything for Love

By Melissa Foster

Released 27th June 2018

Anything for Love is a fantastic name for this book as both of the main characters would literally do anything for love. This book follows the story of Beau Braden, he’s hot, he’s sexy, he’s a tradie, and had just been offered the most amazing job as being the star of a home renovation reality tv show. Beau has had a pretty tough life, his first and only love, his childhood sweetheart was tragically killed and sadly he’s never got over the guilt and blames himself. We meet Charlotte Sterling, she’s an erotic romance author and spends all her time writing, she spends her time with her imaginary friends. After her last family member passes away she moves to Sterling House which is her family’s Inn in the Colorado Mountains. She loves this quiet lifestyle where she spends her days and night’s writing. Early on she learnt that men, in general, don’t live up to the characters in her book that is until the ruggedly handsome Beau Branden arrives on her doorstep to do renovations to the Inn and for the first time in Charlottes life she thinks maybe she will get her HEA. This time of the year is always hard for Beau and that’s why he’s escaping to the mountains to do work on Charlottes Inn in a hope that he can clear his head before he takes on the reality tv show, but he didn’t expect to find the sexy innkeeper as attractive as he did. Neither of them are looking for a romance but the more they spend time together the closer they become. He helps her with her research for her books and you can literally see the sparks flying off the pages between these two. What will happen when it’s time for Beau to leave? Will he? How will Charlotte feel? Will these two get their HEA they both deserve? This was another fantastic book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

whispers at seaside

Whispers at Seaside

By Addison Cole

What a fun, flirty and great book this was. We follow the story of Matt Lacroux, or should I say Professor Matt Lacroux, he works Princeton and is a very serious type of guy. He’s always had his life worked out but his hopes of become Dean now not possible he’s rethinking what he wants out of life. Now that he’s received a publishing contract he’s taken time off to write a book and decides to head home to the Cape so he can spend some more time with his family. Matt’s dad own’s the local hardware store and Mira Savage, who’s a single mum works their as his bookkeeper. Mira is an amazing person, she spends all her time looking after her 6 year old son Hagen, study so she can become a CPA and that leave little time for herself or a love life. She’s had a mad crush on her boss’s son for months but doesn’t want to do anything about that to jepodise her job as Mira know’s the business and her job are on shaky ground. Matt has always found Mira attractive and can’t wait to be able to spend some more time with her and Hagen. After a problem with Matt’s shower he heads to his fathers store rather late and night only to find Mira work there. They start to spend some time together and sparks literally fly off the pages of the book when these two are together. Matt loves spending time with Mira and Hagan. And what can I say about Hagen, he’s the brightest, smartest 6 year old in the world. He wants to build a rocket, a boat and I really think Matt see’s a lot of himself in this cute little 6 year old. The interaction between these characters is totally off the charts. Both Matt and Mira deserve their HEA. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to read more stories about my friends from the Cape.
